Man, there's gotta be another way. I don't know how many more days I can spend editing photos only to find out my monitor settings were wrong and everything is extra saturated and ... awful. And knowing tomorrow I'll have to go through all of them again to redo them.

SO INFURIATING!

So, it's all over. I'm done college and it's time to move on with my life.

I was originally planning on buying a parrot, but my family surprised me by saying, as a graduation present, they would buy it for me. With this extra money burning a hole in my unemployed pockets, I'm kicking around the idea of getting a new body (for, like, the third time this year now). My uncle just bought a Sony Alpha for some old lenses he had back in his film days. The idea made me giddy, thinking of getting a Canon body for the two primes I have for the AE-1. The thought of having to purchase a new zoom like I have for my Nikon, though, erases all the giddiness. So I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking with Nikon. The biggest upgrade I'm looking to get will be the ability to shoot at 100 ISO. I'm tried of 200! Give me something better!

I think it's about that time that I finally buy a UV adaptor, too. The glass on my zoom is looking pret-ty tired. Maybe I can finally get a step-down adaptor for those cheap-ass macro adaptors I got last year! Ooh, and a tripod!

The possibilities are ENDLESS!

Mm. Birds and cameras. What more could a girl one? Oh, well a job would be nice, too...

Hey, remember when I used to take pictures for the whole internet to see and posted them here? Those were good days, weren't they?

Pretty much drowning in pre-pro and production of my senior thesis so my camera has, more or less, been collecting dust. I have some interesting projects to work on once I'm done, though. So... be ready! Come May! I'll be back, bay-BE!

I am beside myself.

I bought a new, tiny hard drive this morning during the Black Friday sales in the hopes of putting all my artwork on it; movies, photos, drawings. Everything.

For the past hour I've been going through my two older drives and organizing everything.

And that's when I realized it.

Hundreds of photos were missing, most importantly the hundreds I snapped in England two years ago. Gone. Everything GONE. I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face wondering how it happened that all these folders would just disappear off all my drives.

And then it started to sink in. Since the debacle of my losing all my photos from the fall of sophomore year I started backing stuff up. I would take my photography folder, drag it to my drive, hit 'replace all' and let it do its thing.

Somewhere along the line, I stopped keeping all my photos on my desktop, knowing they were backed up on one of the two drives. And for months I've been hitting 'replace all' not realizing that I'm replacing the stuff I've backed up.

Gone. Hundreds of memories and photos and PSDs just... gone.

To say I fucking hate myself is an understatement. Sometimes I'm just such a fucking blonde.

So due to my laptop's power cord crappin' out, I had to drop $84 for Apple to ship me a new one. (Boy those special magnets must sure be expensive because $79 seems like a lot for a simple power cord. -_-) so I'm holding off on buying anything for a few months.

I'm learning a little more in my photo class which is fun. I'm noticing, though, that I haven't posted any BWs in a while. And I also seem to be sticking to the same color palette which I'm going to try and not do.

I'm not sure if I should go back to borders or not...

is also making me paranoid about watermarks. But I'm not going there. Not... yet.
